i was pretty pissed today. but think some differences were cleared today. and i felt much better.
there was tension during odac meeting today. which can be read from gary's blog. personally, i feel that somehow, things are not very organised within the execo. but it's just one month since we took over so you cannot expect perfection. we learn along the way, do we? so after 4 hours of rather uncomprehensive meeting dialogue and enduring hot weather, serotonin level hits a high low. naturally there will come along some verbal exchange.
but who say working in a group where everyone has different personalities would be easy and free of differences?
anyway gary, i expected this. but i won't hold grudges. so let's just laugh it off ya? let this be one of those days. and i'm not pissed with you anymore la. and xuanyu don't hate you. you better don't start having negative thoughts ah. you're a very task orientated person. like you, i also want to see things done. but let's not get bitter over it when it's not. give each other time and space to breathe. people might feel much more pressurized if you keep probing.
well personally, i think that we can learn from the previous batch. not neccessary in the form of xuanyu. he comes from their batch. and i can tell you even though he's in our execo now, his heart will always belong to their batch. so much so we must always remember he's still our senior. although we know that, he doesn't act his age..muahaa. still, i feel he does give necessary comments when he needs to. anyway, there are things which i feel we can learn from them. is that our batch is too inclined toward getting our task done, and we always complain about why is it done this way it should be done that way. yet ourselves hardly take the initiative to do it. and also we tend to neglect other people's feelings. think we're too paranoid about not getting things done. but hopefully in time to come, we can achieve that balance.
was talking to kaikian. and read gary's blog. it's as if everyone's giving up on odac. i'm disappointed with their determination. i feel that we will have alot to learn and still, there's a long way to go. why let this little thing affect us? learn from it not dwell on it. and move on. we will have fun along the way. if you're given this position in the execo, show that you can bring out your best. it's not a mistake that you're in here.
