tim burton's sleepy hollow was great. i love all his films. the way he has this pop thing in his films define his style. his films are all picture perfect, very fantasy like. extremely haunting. if you notice the suburbs in edward scissorshand, its perfectly lined up across the street. the colours flatter each other against the bright blue daylight. you don't get that in reality. heard he will be directing an adaptation of roald dahl's charlie and the chocolate factory. woah. i can see how it looks like. and the fact johnny depp always appear in his movies just sorta fixed his film to this certain standard. and he is one of my favourite actor. he got this thing about him you don't see in other actors. great actor. and christina ricci always has this gothic thing about her. think it's because of playing wednesday in the adams family. she's hot.

ahh. movies. there are alot which i must watch. this weekend i've not been doing much school work. basically had my rest and all ready and prepared for september. was looking at my checklist of school stuff and they are a hell of lot. never mind.

my grandmother got hospitalised on saturday. it's about time. she've been staying at home too long without any professional help. made herself virtually bed-ridden the entire day except when it's time to eat and bath. we children had to endure the shouting my dad made. i say shouting because they speak hainanese. and normal hainanese talking sound suspiciously like shouting or singing. opinions about this dialect are subjective. but anyway, it's painful to the ears. and my mum ain't helping either. she had to remind us it's because of my grandma's neglect of having her medicine and her constant waking up in the unearthly wee hours of the morning to ride on the stationary bicycle. that thus results in "what's happening to her now". until my dad decided (about bloody time) the docs in the hospital can help her.

i'm paying her a visit later.
