look up to the sky when it's half cloudy.
i did today. it looked beautiful. before you claim my sanity you have to understand i am always awe-inspired by nature. and having being raised in an urban jungle, anything that's been touched bare minimal by Man are all mysterious. singapore is one huge man-made garden city. everything here looked straight out from a model. everything look prim and proper and neat and clean.
but it lack one thing: soul.
many places in singapore are just like that. especially the suburbs. like hougang. nothing inspiring here at all. i could write a memoir on my life here and it'd be about old folks who take a lifetime to get off the bus and mad people who roam the street. hougang is a mental playground. i like the east coast. places like katong and siglap. there's a certain sense of nolstagia there.

friday was awesome. cheerleading turned out surprisingly good and my house emerged victorious for that. which is just about what my house can only achieved during sport meets. the cheerleading squad really worked the crowd. went totally bonkers. and i won the first ever medal in my entire life. 1st for tug-of-war. dad was darn proud of me when i got home. i can finally compete with the over-achiever of my younger sister's hall of fame - 34:1.
