this holiday is so mundane. every night is spent in front of the colored box. yesterday central's print to screen showed 'some like it hot'. a classic black and white flick starring marilyn monroe and tony curtis. really funny one about 2 men who escaped from the wrath of some mafia after witnessing a shootout and joined an all girl band. it was a laugh seeing them dressed up as women. and it was set in the 20s so the fashion was outrageous. and marilyn monroe was, er, voluptuous. but the thing about this movie showed that hollywood flicks today is becoming worse than ever. don't they ever learn from their predecessors? 'some like it hot' didn't have an elaborate plot but somehow they made use of different elements to link the story together. i think today's hollywood flicks are just a show of grandeur special effects. it's so hard to find a good simple hollywood movie anymore.

french flicks, on the other hand, are up elevated to be one of my fave. watched amelie last week and i think french film are so, beautiful. i don't know. i feel good watching amelie. the language is so sexy. and the plot is simple yet engages you thoroughly. french flicks are definitely a must on my next trip to videoezy.

am feeling feverish. my bones ache like crazy. no more couch potato ritual tonight. and today's training was such a let down for me. ugh. hopefully i am free from sudden casualty proned castatrophe next wednesday. need to let all my sweat out. and i'm as white as a ghost. soak up the sun!and i know i gonna be sick when i'm enjoying manufactured pop way too much on my computer. ashamed to say girls aloud's new song got my toe dancing for a while.

earwax: girls aloud (i swear i did not download this, but it's quite dancey. especially the last part.) - jump (for my love)
