why does leonardo di caprio and most of the cast have that american accent when the movie was supposed to be set in France? in some 18th century? and why are they even speaking in english?

and why am i even watching the man in the iron mask when i'm suppose to be editing the son of a bitch hell of a written report draft and attempting to finally complete the last of Othello's Act 3 summary. it's not even that nice a movie. ooh. i still have all the way to Act 5 to hand up tomorrow.
