Just a ride (killed the cat.)

Try tanning in the rain. It is novel and fun!

Today's trip was such a let down. Nonetheless, my dampened mood (pun unintended.) was quickly parched (really.) by an array of local cuisine. I realised it's been awhile since I had cheap hawker fare, with all the frequent trips to pretentious bistros and restaurants sampling exorbitantly priced cordon bleu, which in the meantime, burnt my pocket and not so much my stomach.

On the train home, the NEL man - the guy with possibly the best job in the world by walking up and down the carriage, caught my attention. Is he thinking about dinner, about that SPG and her old loaded boyfriend, about after-dinner programmes at home, about the music he plugged, about all the maids flocking to town? It is this voyeuristic streak in me at work yet again. I love to people-watch. I love peering into people's lives, giving my own interpretation and wondering how true they could be to mine.

I love taking the train. It is like Life's pause button on the remote control. I wished I brought my camera along with me today - I guess I just wasn't in the mood and how wrong am I?

One of my favourite movies of all time, Amelie, that lovely French movie with Audrey Tautou, ran on my mind while I am typing this. I feel like renting it again. The whole Holga-ness of the film, the feel good factor and that simple sugar rush. I may as well just buy it. How lovely it is, that while you people-watch, some One is out there. And I need to take passport photos. I shall try the machine later, like in the film.
