The next time you are at Citylink Mall, you will bound to see this huge for-woman-only credit card advert that goes 'The Men Still Don't Get It.'
It scares me.
As though the feminist movement has infiltrated into world domination and before you can even say ellen degeneres, you find yourself caught dead in the palms of their immaculately manicured hands. Listen closely. You may hear them chant this mantra over and over in their nightly ritual, right before they apply their Night Age-Defence Creme. As Independent Women of today's modern society - they appear as though they do not need Men financially anymore, well, that is because they have a high-paying Shenton Way Career to feed their consumerism needs. However. They still maneuvere their way into getting Men to pay for their Pradas in sneaky subtlety. And by They I meant Women With Boyfriend/Boy-Friends/Brother/are Hag-Fags(or is it Fag-Hags? Potaetoe, potatoe.)/Male-connections whilst belting Girl Power anthemns. Supplementary cards are as dangerous as they sound. And then there are the Women whose lifelong Dream(which begins with their first Mattel Barbie) to be a Tai-tai with monthly suscription to Singapore Tatler and lifelong membership to the Singapore Chinese Swimming Club.
We are still paying for things, ultimately.
Anyway, the Dan Brown Influence is irritating the bejeezus out of me. EVERYONE, and I mean Every. One. Reading his books and holding them like an intellectual property. Read it at home, for Christ's sake. Like me. There is no need to show it to people that you are reading that Darvinchicode, that you are curiously finding out what the fuss was all about. But i must say, It is a guilty pleasure. Just don't tell the whole world about it. It's just like a britney spears song. Do not recognise it. Act aloof, devil may care. But gush about it in your bedroom.
