I walked away from the cashier today.
Right before I was about to pay for a discounted chinos from British India. And for the first time I could find a size smaller than XXXL when they had sale. This is almost a revolutionary shopaholic breakthrough. (I meant the not-buying. Well, actually the size thing as well.) I didn't join the long queue at Kinokuniya despite their storewide 20% discount (30%, actually, with my membership card.) Nor at Liat tower's Esprit - 50%. I know, right. But perhaps it's because the non-sale items at nett price always seemed nicer than the sale item oh who am i kidding. Sale or non-sale, I could have still paid for it.
But I actually spent nothing, nada, zero, ling, today.
Ok 6 bucks for dinner (Thanks to Luke for having a budget or we could have ate somewhere else and I wouldn't be typing this bullshit in the first place.) (And Edward for paying at Starbucks.)
I am amazed, and proud of myself. This is definitely one step closer to the POSB Dream. They should hire me as their new poster boy, complete with The Carpenter's (They long to be) Close To You at the background, and me sporting bowl-cut hair, totally 1980s. It felt weird though. And quite depressing, that despite all these temptations I could emerge unscathed and victorious. And I didn't zouk as planned earlier. (But I did went out the night before. So.) But congratulatory and support messages are still welcome at the tagboard above.
Meanwhile, I cannot stop gushing about alot of things. Like Lost, debuting on Channel 5 this thurday but I shall go watch it on my computer thanks to my sister and online piracy. But more on lost Later.
