- If you are holding a part-ay at home, you will definitely need some social lubricant. Get tasty booze recipes here at ExtraTasty! For someone who risk getting rashes after three sad pints and gets high on warm milk and milo peng, like me, they've got recipes for non-alcoholic drinks, too. Shanice, I know you'll love this site.
- Singapore International Film Festival: Take your pick people. I'm getting my tickets for Royston Tan's latest offering, 4:30, another film (see Eric Khoo's Be With Me) that depends on minimal dialogue, giving new meaning to silent films. Apparently there is going to be some sexual undertones between the two male leads, but films are always open books. Speaking of sexuality, I'm up for New Zealander director Stewart Main's 50 Ways of Staying Fabulous, about a boy's coming-of-age in rural 70s' New Zealand outback. Also on my list is to watch the ethereally beautiful Cate Blanchett in Little Fish, where she garnered Best Actress for the 2005 AFI. Innocent, by Hong Kong's Simon Chung, a 'nuanced take on the difficulties of being an immigrant in a new land' is also worth a watch.
