How bizarre, how bizarre.
Somehow I mixed up the 10th with the 11th. Made a trip down to Lasalle's Goodman Road campus for the programme briefing today and realised it was held yesterday! Totally malu-ated myself when I walked into a class discussion and they stopped discussing the minute I stepped in, staring at this weirdo who asked meekly, 'Is this the room for the film degree talk?'
Anyhow, the weather was impossible today. I was so drenched from the humidity this salesgirl asked if it was raining outside.
I finally went to Books Actually after reading all about it - realised dubdew's latest entry was on Books Actually as well! I absolutely agree with her, trot down to Telok Ayer Street NOW. (but not on Sundays, they are closed.) It's pure heaven inside.
Was at The Arts House for 1+1notequals2 which stayed true to the anniversary theme - bizarre. It was so strange to see the dancers with the bands playing. Not like it was Variety Nite or something with botox-smiled dancers accompanying the performance. But it was dancers and local indie music. I supposed intepretative dance is just not my cup of tea. Even more bizarre was Electrico + Ah Hock & Peng Yu. The latter was named that just so his mum could tell her friends what her son and friends are doing - dancing in their underwears like some seow lang from IMH to Electrico's numbers, much to their amusement since the entire performance was impromtu. And I am one of those santized audience who just sat there when the band pleaded for us to get up on their feet. Localbarboy was fun as usual. The Hokkien gua at the end never fails to make me laugh.
