i screamed in horror as i ponder the future of music - the absolute disgust of hearing the passe-than-thou william hung with his Ghastly remake of An Already Abysmal ricky martin's she bangs on local radio. i couldnt help but wonder if it was sacarsm when the dj announced in her cheerful voice that his debut album will hit store next month and it's entitled, very aptly - Inspirational. or something along that line.
anyhow, it's a wonder how these record companies would be willing to put our poor ears at stake with people like these invading the radio for the sake of the dough. potboilers. do we really need william hung to encourage and hopefully, inspire, tone-deaf, aspiring singers to celebrate the joy of music on our boombox? i'd gladly stick to 92.4fm, thank you very much. i hate that numbskill william hung. i hope he and his money grabbing accomplices like the record company that signed him up, suck bullsballs. how people can celebrate his two left feet dance choreographs and (i have no adjective to go with this) voice leaves me with nothing but even more dark pessimism and cynicism. i feel apologetic to all aspiring popstars who at least look much better than him, dance better than him, and are still struggling to get a music contract, still trying to cut a demo or just singing with heart and soul to a hairbrush. it is people like william hung that makes me go down on my knee and pray britney spears come out with a new single. now. i will put her on repeat mode. i will even listen to cheeky girls. ok maybe not that.
on the topic of music, since i'm already feeling quite like a music critic here, i wish i could dig my hand into the computer screen and squeeze out the darn ringtone advert with ugly boobs-baring cartoon hanging on the bottom of the stupid kazaa desktop. it's not just an ugly advert, it slows down the whole darn computer and the music goes haywire like a scratched pirated cd. the other adverts are no better. there's one with a woman that looks like paula abdul. and another weird one about winning a green card in some american lottery. singapore's PR policy suddenly pales in horrendous comparison.
okay. it's back to liquidity preference theory of interest.
